Job Description
The Information Systems Design Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and managing
the local and wide area networks of the Gila River Indian Community tribal departments. This position includes
designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, special systems,
and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary. This position collaborates with outside certified
vendors for any new systems or upgrades to ensure the integrity of the community network. This position provides
24/7 on-call services to ensure maximum uptime for all the departments within the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Plan and implement local and wide area network for new and existing buildings which include Cisco switches
and routers, wireless access, and Voice over IP.
- Work closely with certified vendors to ensure secure work environment for the community which includes
video surveillance, badge access, time clock, and call monitoring.
- Perform high quality troubleshooting in an efficient manner; maintain and update network equipment to the
latest firmware releases which includes using SolarWinds for daily monitoring of the network to maximum
network performance.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analyst, IT Managers, subcontractors, and departments to
complete any existing or future IT related projects.
- Provide 24/7 on-call services for any IT related issues for all the departments.
- Research new systems, upgrades, training, and certifications to stay current with technology.
- Activate and deactivate access badge, set up individual end user’s VoIP account and voicemail.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Must possess effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Networking hardware and software.
- Must possess an understanding of wide area networks and local area networks.
- Knowledge of Cisco VoIP.
