Job Description

Martin Marietta has several openings for the right quality individuals for our Lead Fuel Oiler positions at our operations located in Denver.

Position Summary: 

The primary responsibility of the Lead Fuel & Lube Truck Technician is to manage the daily fueling schedule. Assign daily fueling routes to all the Fuel Oilers. Assist Shop Foreman in managing the PM Service Schedule.

Fuel the equipment, perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, and perform designated repairs on company-owned machines as directed by Shop Manager or Shop Foreman. PM Services are made on but are not limited to Caterpillar equipment (Asphalt Pavers, Rollers, Scrapers, Blades, Loaders, Skid steers, Semi Trucks, and Dump Trucks.


Responsibilities:

  • To manage the daily fueling schedule. Direct the Fuel Oiler’s on their daily routes.
  • Assist Shop Foreman in managing the PM service schedule.
  • Fuel Equipment and also includes Preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep on Martin Marietta Equipment.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, Change Engine oil, Hydraulic oil, Service Differentials, final drives, and grease machine by manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Occasional operation of the machine in the determination of repair need or repair assessment may occur.
  • Disassemble and assemble machine components to the manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling provided by Martin Marietta. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Research repair needs and order parts as needed.
  • Comply with Martin Marietta Safety and Health rules.
  • any duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A current and valid CDL B with Hazmat Endorsement.
  • 5 years’ experience in fuel and lube truck fueling and serving heavy equipment.
  • Must be very knowledgeable geographically in the Denver Metro Area.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the Denver Metro Market Area.
  • Able to maintain accurate record keeping. (unit number, hours, gallons of fuel)
  • Basic computer skills are a must.
