Major/Essential Functions
The Department of Psychiatry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a full-time mental health professional to join our team and help expand the mental and behavioral health services of children, adolescents, and families in West Texas.
The mental health professional will work collaboratively with a team of providers (e.g., nurses, physicians, social workers, licensed professional counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, etc.) to provide comprehensive, evidenced-based care for youth with a range of behavioral and emotional difficulties. The position is clinical in nature, with responsibilities that include providing diagnostic assessments and evidence-based treatments to youth and families, as well as engaging in team-based consultation about their service needs. There will also be upcoming opportunities for involvement in an innovative, stepped-care model that includes outpatient, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and crisis stabilization services, all of which will be housed in one location within Covenant Childrens Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications include a Masters degree, behavioral health licensure in the state of Texas, and at least two years of clinical experience in direct patient care utilizing evidenced-based approaches (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, behavioral parent therapy, etc.) with children, adolescents, and families. Bilingual applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
