DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

The Licensing Technician is a technical support position responsible for the day-to-day gathering, examination

and maintenance of licensing applications, prepares the documentation for review by the Gaming Commission,

and maintains files and communication with the applicant and the Casino Human Resources Department to ensure

proper licensing service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work in association with all members of the Gaming Office, employees of the Gila River Gaming Enterprises,

Inc., prospective employees and the general public in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Explain employment and vendor application documents to prospective applicants; maintain an ample supply

of application packets and application forms.

  • Review applications and work with applicants to ensure all required data is included and complete; establish

and maintain an organized records system to track license applications; refer applicant and application data to

Investigators for final review.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining employee and vendor files, update as necessary; assist in copying and filing

applications and data submissions.

  • Assist in maintaining a record of information submitted to the Arizona Department of Gaming.
    • Collect faxed submissions for additional investigative information from ADOG and submit to Supervisor of

    Investigations.

    • Assist in compiling a list of Commission approved State certified licensees for submission to Records

    Supervisors.

    • Assist in issuing new, renewal or temporary identification badges, take photographs of applicants for

    attachment to proper forms, and fingerprint applicants as necessary.

    • Ensure all in-coming and out-going mail is properly disseminated and route files, information and phone

    messages to appropriate individuals.

    • Assist Records Department in compiling required reporting or licensing information.
      • Assist in creation of forms and memoranda and assume clerical functions as needed.
        • Assist Investigators in meeting deadlines by maintaining a tickler system of required information and reports.
          • Maintain a list of vendor license expiration dates and send renewal notices in a timely manner.
