Under the direction of the Manager of Psychiatric Care Management and as a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, the LMSW Psychiatric Liaison delivers high-impact, professional social work services to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients navigating complex psychiatric needs.
In this essential role, youll conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, provide diagnostic insight, and collaborate with healthcare partners to develop and implement comprehensive treatment and discharge plans. Youll offer psychotherapy and counseling support, addressing the unique needs of patients and their families with empathy, clinical skill, and cultural sensitivity.
Youll also serve as a key coordinator in the court-ordered evaluation process-conducting interviews, identifying or substituting witnesses, and acting as a liaison with the mental health court to ensure timely, ethical, and legally compliant care.

Hourly Pay Rate: $30.37 - $44.80
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a Master's degree in Social Work.
Experience:
  • Requires recent experience working with seriously mentally ill or in a mental health setting.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must have and maintain licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • CPI certification and BLS Card training will be provided upon hire/transfer to BH department.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Requires knowledge of community resources and knowledge of DSM-V.
  • Must have awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, as well as work effectively with a multidisciplinary team with adults, families and children.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills needed. Time management, flexibility and positive customer service orientation is necessary.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel members scope of practice.
