Performs patient observation, data collection related to patient care, administers medication, treatment and procedures, implements the plan of nursing care and communicates findings to the supervising RN. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patients. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Requires knowledge in nursing and person-centered care concepts
  • Previous patient care experience, preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required
  • Current state LPN license for applicable state of employment (Colorado or compact LPN license)
  • Current state IV Certification required within three months of hire or transfer
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association

Physical requirements- Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Schedule: PRN; department is open Monday-Friday, 0630-1200. This position is responsible for checking-in, swabbing, and charting on patients for covid testing pre-procedure.
