SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring that all activities in the Maintenance Department are performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and internal control standards. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing quality Maintenance Department service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner while displaying a high level of customer service.


**TRAVEL IS REQUIRED to work at all Cimarron Casinos - Ioway Travel Plaza, Cimarron Casino, Ioway Casino, and Ioway Tribe of Oklahoma Casino.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains all mechanical and cosmetic items throughout the facility.
  • Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the property, identifying potential problems and resolving as needed.
  • Responds to routine maintenance requests and repair calls.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Maintenance Shop.
  • Prepares daily work forms as needed.
  • Operates enterprise vehicles as required.
  • Ensures a maximum level of customer service and Guest satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
  • Adheres to established safety policies and procedures and applicable OSHA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Maintenance experience in an industrial/commercial setting or completion of a Vocational Education program or journeyman/apprentice training preferred. A high school diploma (or GED) and 2 years of maintenance/mechanical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required.


SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic knowledge of building trades, carpentry, electrical, HVAC (heating /ventilation/air conditioning), mechanics, and plumbing is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as technical journals, policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

The employee must be able to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.

The employee is regularly required to operate a motor vehicle.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places. The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, cold and/or severe weather.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
