Position Description
An experienced Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for comprehensive building facilities maintenance including preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergency response for existing and future locations in Oklahoma City. Oversight of assigned property(s) with the responsibility of ensuring proper operating and functioning of facilities buildings, systems, grounds, and maintenance equipment for our network of operational offices and stand-alone banking centers with a focus on HVAC. Ideal candidate will possess extensive working knowledge of electrical lighting/controls, HVAC systems / distribution / controls, plumbing systems, fire protection systems / alarms / testing, and general building maintenance (drywall, painting, flooring, etc.).
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Facilities Maintenance
- Compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Completes scheduled maintenance and corrective repair records using computerized maintenance management software. Review assigned work orders and complete per company standards while involving the manager as required. Track and input time needed to complete individual tasks.
- Performs troubleshooting and repairs of all buildings and installed systems with a focus on but not limited to: HVAC, Building Automation Systems, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and Lighting.
- Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems which may be scheduled off hours/weekend work.
- In addition to assigned tasks conduct routine detailed property inspections identifying issues for proactive work orders.
- Responds to emergency situations under adverse working conditions and make informed and accurate decisions.
- Expected to respond to off-shift and weekend emergencies.
- Strives to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and find innovative solutions by taking an ownership of responsibilities.
- Uses personal computer and/or mobile device for work order system and email. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel for accurate documentation and communication.
General Administrative Duties
- Prepare reports, budget summaries, schedules for both formal and informal reports to senior management as necessary to convey project status and work load activities. Be able to lead and direct the work of others.
Additional Requirements
- Physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.
- Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stair/ladders and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more for distribution to properties
- Drive a Company vehicle and be in compliance with MidFirst’s Vehicle Use Policy.
- Works well with others in a team environment and able to take directions from management and other tenured engineers and can effectively partner with other departments including IT, Corporate Security, Real Estate Operations/Construction, and Banking Operations.
- The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with experience to oversee outside service vendors on schedule, cost, and quality issues is critical.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial building maintenance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class 2 boiler operator license – is preferred
- Trade School or Accredited Apprenticeship Training Program- is preferred
- CFC Universal Certification- is preferred
- Basic user of MS Office systems (Word and Excel)
