Maintenance Mechanics (2) sought by Nucor Steel West Virginia, LLC for the Apple Grove location. Candidate must have 2 yrs of exp performing preventative & corrective maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, centralized lubrication systems, alignments, power transmission, & pumps/piping in a steel hot mill &/or meltshop. Must have exp in: Repairing, installing, adjusting, & maintaining industrial steel production & processing machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic & water piping distribution systems using blueprints & manuals. Replacing rollers, conveyors, belts, & drive shafts used in Raw material handling systems containing alloys & DRI. Reviewing mechanical & electrical schematics for core plant systems, incl compressors, gearboxes, motors, ID & FD Fans, pumps, & vessels using AutoCad &/or Auto ISO. Checking fluid levels & repairing Directional Control Valves (DCV), & Hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders. Generated work orders, doc repairs, order requisitions, & update Plant Maintenance schedule utilizing Oracle or DataStream computerized maintenance mgmt systems. Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled & unscheduled overtime. 5% travel reqd to attend meetings & trainings (domestic & int'l).
