Job Description

New Alternatives Inc. is looking to hire a dedicated Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist to work with foster/probation youth in a residential setting.


Candidate must have a total of 8 years relevant experience/education. Candidate must have a BA/BS degree in related mental health field, along with 4 years relevant experience and/or time included in graduate education.


Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialists are responsible for providing rehabilitation services to foster/probation youth residing in a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). This includes helping foster youth with behavior modification, developing coping skills, communication skills, and independent living skills to achieve progress on their mental health treatment goals/objectives. Ability to write proficiently and possessing good communication skills are needed to work effectively as a treatment team member. Will be expected to complete documentation of services provided in a timely manner.

Schedule is Full-time, Sunday - Thursday, mid shift.
