$17.50 per hour- $19.50 per hour.

Key Purpose

The Moves, Adds, and Changes Mover position is responsible for facilitating the movement of personal belongings and furniture between buildings in addition to assisting with meetings and events. This position will work closely with employees of ISS client and will require proper time management and project management. Duties will be dependent on operational needs as outlined by ISS clients and contracts.

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • High school diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and material moving experience
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Move experience is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills; able to organize and work independently
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment

  • Material moving experience a plus
  • Experience with meeting and event planning is a plus

Key Accountabilities

  • Attending pre-move meetings to discuss the overall move plan and implementation strategy
  • Plan, organize and manage all phases of relocation requirements via onsite call center
  • Establish specific and detailed timelines to ensure that all move deadlines are met
  • Supply packing material and AbbVie Provided Equipment as required and requested
  • Prepare and deliver labels, move instructions, packing materials and other misc. items to each origin location in advance of move day as directed by the AbbVie move coordinator
  • Review all origin and destination move locations to ensure each employee's move needs are met as promised. Notify the designated move coordinator immediately of any requests for changes in scope before proceeding
  • Supply AbbVie owned "speed packs" (Gaylord boxes) for packing keyboards, cables, computer, and electronic equipment etc. as requested
  • Ensure there is adequate protection for carpeted hallways, door jams, doors & walls throughout the entire move
  • Adhere to and follow the label systems as mapped out by AbbVie personnel
  • Protect all furnishings and equipment from inclement weather
  • Provide sufficient resources and labor to complete all jobs on time and on budget
  • Respond to all same day, short notice work orders with a commitment of completion
  • Ability to provide supporting box truck as needed (on a special request basis)
  • Utilizing Conference Room Services and Call Center client work order requests, work with AbbVie Coordinator (or designate) to create a daily assignment timetable to complete set ups and have it coordinated with the daily move requests
  • Move furniture in and out of conference rooms as needed to accommodate the specific requests for our clients
  • Work closely with any assigned Technical Director(s) of Meetings & Events to ensure seamless event set ups
  • To have the ability to move large tables and AV equipment to unique events at AbbVie locations as well as other locations in northeastern Illinois/southeastern Wisconsin region

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
  • While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to touch, handle, grip, feel, grasp; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
  • The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
