As an MSW Psychiatric Liaison, youll be at the heart of that mission-working as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional psychiatric care across the lifespan.
Our behavioral health team is a strong, collaborative unit made up of social workers, psychiatric and medical providers, nurses, behavioral health technicians, mental health workers, health unit coordinators, chaplains, and recreational therapists. Together, we create a supportive and healing environment for patients, their families, and our colleagues.
What Youll Do:
Working under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health Programs and the Manager of Care Coordination, you will:
  • Deliver expert psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnoses
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans
  • Coordinate aftercare services to support successful transitions post-discharge
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy, as needed
  • Serve as a key liaison to the mental health courts-conducting legal coordination including interviews, witness substitution, and court documentation
  • Manage all aspects of the court-ordered evaluation and treatment process for a patient population where over 90% of adults are hospitalized under legal mandate
  • Partner with community agencies and leverage patients natural supports to ensure the most effective, person-centered care

Annual Salary Range: $60,736.00 - $89,585.60
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a Master's of Social Work.
Experience:
  • Prefer at least one year of experience working with seriously mentally ill or in a mental health setting.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Prefer LMSW or LCSW licensure through the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Requires knowledge of community resources and expertise of DSM V.
  • Must have awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and effectively with a multidisciplinary team of adults, families, and children.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed.
  • Time management, flexibility, and positive customer service orientation are necessary.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
