Description

We are looking for a friendly and motivated hospitality professionals to join the Front Office team at our Four Diamond hotel! This part-time Night Auditor position is 2 nights per week, with opportunities to work daytime shifts as a Front Desk Host if desired! This is an amazing opportunity to join a fantastic team and company! Previous Night Audit experience and/or Opera PMS experience preferred.

The Night Auditor will:

  • Assist and oversee all Front Desk/audit functions.
    • Balance Food & Beverage outlets.
    • Balance and post the front office accounts.
    • Distribute daily report and others as requested.
  • Follow all checklists to ensure all duties are performed. All checklists are to be signed and dated each night.
  • Provide excellent and attentive Four Diamond service to hotel guests at all times
  • Ensure proper credit card and key control policies are followed at all times. Ensure sufficient authorization for all stays each night.
  • Work with other departments to resolve guest requests.
  • Handle the guest check-in/check-out needs, inquiries and reported problems.
  • Communicate with bellperson/drivers/housekeeping/maintenance/security.
  • Be responsible for house/cash bank and deposit keys.
  • Obtain and verify essential guest information; ensure accuracy and completeness of all records.
  • Assign guest rooms on the basis of reservation requirements.
  • Read, maintain and make entries in the Front Desk log book.
  • Check for any guest mail or messages.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of wake-up calls and express checkout bills to the guest.
  • Responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures
  • Attend and complete all required training and/or mandatory department meetings.
  • Reporting physical, financial and personal miscellaneous discrepancies to management.
  • Special projects as requested by the Front Office Manager or Controller
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Must possess a Can Do attitude and be a self-starter
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Knowledge of OPERA Property Management System strongly preferred.
  • Computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English with guests and coworkers. Must be able to relate to guests concerns and work well with others.
  • Must be able to multi-task and possess problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, with or without a calculator, as related to calculating and analyzing metrics used in hospitality.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of Night Audit experience strongly preferred. Opera PMS experience strongly preferred.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, be able to work long hours and be able to handle stressful conditions. Employee must be able to work and stand for up to 8 hours of time in one position. Must be able to reach, grasp, and feel.
