Job Description
Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Womens and Childrens Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.
Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.
Provides direct and indirect care in the department setting. Monitors cardiac rhythms via bedside central or telemetry cardiac monitoring. Works within scope of practice as certified nursing assistant in department. Assists physicians and staff with clerical needs. Prepares and compiles records in the department. Maintains regulatory body requirements, policies and procedures and participates in performance improvement activities. . Provides service to ages of neonate to geriatric. Other duties as assigned.
Regulatory Requirements:
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Basic EKG course within 6 months of hire
- Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
- CPI upon hire then every two years
- CNA State Certificate
