Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Elder Services staff in a variety of administrative and clerical matters. The individual greets visitors, answers the telephones and questions regarding services provided; drafts and organizes materials and/or communicational brochures; performs data entry, maintains files and databases and requests and/or processing payments for vendors. The incumbent is familiar with all services provided by Elder Services and its operation. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior experience performing similar duties in an office environment is required. Familiarity with office procedures and knowledge of Accounts Payable (A/P) and/or Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes and procedures is required. Or any combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
