The Lead Nurse, RN is responsible and accountable for directing and facilitating the flow of patient care activities of the Gunnison Valley Health Cancer Care Center on an assigned shift. In addition, the Lead Nurse provides professional nursing skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for assigned patients.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of acute care nursing experience, including experience in an Oncology Department and an Infusion center.
Licenses/Certifications: R.N. licensed in the State of Colorado, or compact license. Current Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy, BLS certification, ACLS within the first year and maintenance expected* thereafter. PALS (or ENPC) is encouraged but not required. Within 1 year of hire, OCN is required.
*Expected = if clinicians expire they must be signed up for the next available class after their expiration and per director discretion.
Compensation: $30.00/hr - $36.00/hr, depending on experience.
