Operations Worker

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Provides general operations and maintenance services for the facility. Tasks include, cleaning, setting up for activities, receiving deliveries, and maintaining inventory.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1 year experience working in an operations capacity (janitorial/maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED required
1 year experience working in an operations capacity (janitorial/maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse)
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced operational environment
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
- Able to work on feet for extended periods of time
- Must have reliable mode of transportation to get to and from work
- Must have a valid NV identification card
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in a homeless shelter environment
- Ability to work independently or in a team.

- Ability to negotiate different personalities and work under competing priorities.
- Ability to assess emergency situations and respond effectively
- Must be prompt and dependable.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
- Responsible for basic cleaning of building offices to include cubicles, restrooms, restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, sweeping and mopping tile floors, etc.
- Sanitizes and disinfecting high touch surfaces using approved methods and chemicals
- Clean, sanitize and disinfect sleeping mats using approved methods and chemicals
- Deploy and recover sleeping mats during designated times
- Assist in setting up venues for events including tables and chairs
- Monitors and maintains the property free of trash
- Properly clean and dispose of biohazard spills
- Facilitate access to guest storage units and maintain storage units neat and well organized
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Enter data into inventory and tracking system
- Assist with inventory and quality control checks
- Uses proper protective equipment at all times
- Performs additional duties as necessary
