Job Description
Facility: Tempe Diablo Technology Park
Department: Patient Financial Services
Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Days
Under the direction of the Supervisor Cash Posting this position completes all payment posting to patient accounts. Reconciles payments and shortages for both paper and electronic EOB's.
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00 to $22.13
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Prefer experience performing payment posting, healthcare patient accounting, medical insurance/billing/reimbursement or related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of hospital patient account systems and cash receipts processes.
- Must have strong data entry skills and know 10-key by touch.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to handle granular details regarding payments and contractuals.
- Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
- Must have ability apply math/business concepts to solve problems.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
