Phlebotomist - Lab-Phlebotomy
SUMMARY: Accountable for proper specimen identification, obtaining laboratory specimens from patients and assisting the nursing staff in the performance of safe and efficient sample collections. Accountable for registration of patients, verification and ordering of laboratory tests, and preparing specimens for transport. Responsibilities may also include stocking of required supplies, maintaining a clean work environment, and performing daily routines necessary for the efficient operation of this area of the laboratory. This position is supervised by the Valley Children's Hospital Laboratory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/G.E.D. required, CPT-I - Cert Phlebotomy Technician I Or CPT-II - Cert Phlebotomy Technician II required, Entry level medical experience required.
