Contracted Operations / Louisville Packaging is a specialized, dedicated contractor based in Louisville, Kentucky, that blends, packages, and ships refrigerant gases for a major global industry leader
General Summary:
Production Manager oversees manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, cost control, and timely completion of production goals.
Minimum requirements

Duties:
· Support and complete the tactics defined on the Operational Plan.
· Meet the training schedule for yourself, as well as ensuring a minimum monthly training performance of 95% within your department. Objectively ensure 100% compliance for regulatory training including HAZMAT.
· Ensure 100% on time completion of STOP and area audits.
· Assign personnel for the daily walk through with safety coordinator – report and correct any findings
· Ensure that the Supervisors maintain and review attendance records – completing absentee forms due to an employee’s absence and turning in an overtime report for each week
· Conduct daily turnover between 1st and 2nd shift supervisors
· Supervise production teams, including supervisors and operators, provide coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure staff are trained in safety and quality standards
· Develop and maintain through your supervisors a workforce to meet peak demand, ensuring production supervisors hold employees accountable for meeting daily quota.
· Ensure Corrective Action Requests (CARs) are issued, documented and investigated in a timely manner assigning supervisors based on severity.
· Ensure Process Safety and Risk Management guidelines are known, understood, and followed in the flammable packaging area.
· Responsible for leading the nonconforming, recovered heel ton processing and slow-moving inventory meeting and metrics.
· Attend the Daily Operation Morning meeting (DOM) ensuring the production department reports daily numbers
· Attend monthly Safety Assurance Council (SAC) and Quality Assurance Council (QAC) meetings – reporting anything to assist with improvement
· Attend quarterly performance reviews for all production departments
· Assign performance appraisals to Supervisors for any temporary employees who are eligible for full-time hire Conduct performance appraisals to the supervisors reporting to this function.
· Attend any disciplinary action process (CARs, written warnings & verbal warnings) and ensure the disciplinary action has been completed in a timely manner.
· Communicate any schedule changes with the scheduler.
· Serve as support and backup when needed SAP and process orders
· Lead the effort troubleshooting and collection of data of the new project for digital torque wrenches and report results to Plant Manager
· Responsible for ensuring the production assigned leak detectors are inventoried and calibrated as scheduled.
· Attend the procedure workload meeting as scheduled
· Maintain records and enter serial numbers into spreadsheet for flammable Returnable Cylinders (RETs).
· Participate (voluntarily) in the monthly inventory (Saturday)
· Ensure that through your supervisors we maintain inventories of items needed for production:
Inventory of paint must be turned in every Wednesday to Purchasing agent
Inventory of labels must be turned in once a month to Purchasing agent
Production Supplies Inventory list must be turned in every week on Thursday
Coordinate pallet inventories (40X48, SRC, raggle sticks, TON pallets, etc.) in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisor.
Responsible to picking and signing out production supplies after they have been received by the Receiving clerk and put away at the receiving cage in a timely manner.
Required skill sand qualifications:
· Educational Background: Typically, a Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields are preferred, but we also will consider job experience.
· Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality control, and safety standards
· Leadership and Communication: Strong people management, problem-solving, and communication skills to motivate teams and resolve operational challenges
· Analytical and Planning Skills: Ability to analyze performance data, forecast production needs, and implement continuous improvement strategies
