Job Description
The Program Administrator provides technical assistance to District Project Administrators, District Housing
Committees, Service Center Coordinators, Tribal Programs and other organizations in the planning, coordination,
monitoring and implementing of housing programs and housing projects. The primary responsibility is the
coordination, review and documentation of all applications for use of housing funds. Secondary responsibilities
include disseminating information of Community Housing Programs and construction projects and reporting
progress of activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain required records and files pertaining to applications for district housing programs (to include
applications, attachments, memoranda, authorizations and any other related documents).
Ensure applications for housing and required information are reviewed for program eligibility in an accurate,
timely and complete manner.
Maintain communication with the Housing Advisory Committee, district staff, District Housing Committees,
Finance Department and other Tribal offices, and applicants (communication to include written and oral
reports to the districts; attendance at Community and Housing Department meetings as may be required).
Maintain oversight of approved district housing projects to ensure accurate and timely progress.
Perform liaison contacts between various districts, Tribal and other local entities in order to perform functions
of this position.
Respond to inquiries concerning Community housing programs and other local information as required.
Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Knowledge of the Gila River Indian Community and the procurement regulations.
Knowledge of economic, educational, social and health problems of Native Americans.
Knowledge of and experience in administrative procedures and reporting systems.
Ability to utilize computers and related application software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.).
Ability to express ideas clearly, orally and in writing.
