QUALIFICATIONS • Associate degree in Human Services, Public or Business Administration, or related discipline. Minimum one year of related experience may be substituted for degree requirements. • Experience working with agencies that serve vulnerable populations preferred. • Experience working with homeless and/or at-risk families preferred. • Bilingual (English – Spanish) preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.) • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents, staff and community partners. • Must have a valid Nevada driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Program Assistant will assist the Case Manager and Service Center Coordinator in overseeing the day to day operations and administration of all grants. They will also assist with assurance of grant reporting compliance which includes conducting file reviews. The Program Assistant will create and/or maintain spreadsheets for tracking grant spending, outcomes, and statistics. Will also assist Service Center Coordinator with grant renewals and new grant submissions. Will also be responsible for maintaining client database and referrals for services and generate reports. Program Assistant will complete accurate and timely data entry into HMIS system. Must attend all scheduled team meetings and trainings. Other duties may be assigned by direct supervisor as it relates to the position of Program Assistant.
