Job Description
Under general direction from Student Services Manager, provide program services to the international students enrolled in Global Launch programs at the ASU West Valley and Tempe campuses, ensuring that the identified goals and objectives of the programs are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, standards of quality and customer service.
Position’s primary campus is West Valley with at least one day per week in Tempe.
Salary Range
$48,000 - $53,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties
- West Valley program operations: (60%)
- Serves as primary point-of-contact for all issues related to Pathways student advising at the West Valley campus.
- Prepares and leads warm and engaging program events (requires occasional evenings and weekends); makes meaningful connection with program participants.
- Plans and leads New and Continuing Student Registrations for all ASU-USA Pathways students
- Supports office operations, including ordering supplies, coordinating technology support and assisting in the supervision and training of Welcome Desk student workers.
- Engages actively with ASU West Valley events and departments for relationship building purposes
- Orders supplies needed for program delivery, ensuring that expenditures stay within budget. Work closely with the Global Launch business office team to process payments and provide documentation requirements. Will have a Pcard to process in-person payments, in the field, when Business Office payment is not possible.
- As needed, provides West Valley and Tempe campus tours.
- Student advising, including Pathways and other Global Launch programs: (20%)
- Completes advising tasks related to sponsored students issues related to financial guarantees, health insurance, and other related tasks.
- Advises assigned students and maintains records; updates team members on student issues. Prioritizes student success and retention.
- Responds to Global Launch student questions or issues through various channels such as meetings via Zoom or in-person, email, phone, and social media.
- Student Services team: (20%)
- Serves as primary point person for Global Launch for ASU Housing and issues related to student housing for any Global Launch student.
- Supports New and Continuing registrations for other Global Launch programs
- Under the supervision of the Senior Immigration Advisor, will be trained on immigration related advising
- In collaboration with the Group Programs Coordinator Sr, assists with special programs and tasks, as needed.
- Travels to other campuses on occasion.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Six years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with international students including English language learners with varying proficiency.
- Experience working abroad in an educational setting or proficiency in another language
- Experience providing customer service in a higher education environment.
- Experience with student success and advising.
- Demonstrated knowledge with processes related to F-1 students and SEVIS
- Experience working on simultaneous projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Experience with Salesforce, PeopleSoft, or other CRM, Slack, Microsoft Bookings, Canvas LMS. Airtable, Adobe
- Experience working in a fast-paced supportive team environment.
- Evidence of high quality work that requires attention to detail and organization
- Demonstrated knowledge with ASU systems and programs.
- Evidence of effective communication skills, including ability to present before groups of students
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Ability to clearly perform essential functions
