Program Director- LPCC, MFT, LCSW, Phd, RN required.
New Alternatives, Inc. The CYCSU is an outpatient clinic with a CSU (Crisis Stabilization Unit) designation. ESU has been the only screening and assessment LPS facility for youth in an acute psychiatric crisis in the county since 1995.
Our psychiatric team of psychiatrists, nurses, clinicians, and mental health workers work with youth in crisis by providing mental health care to children who are experiencing a mental health crisis, such as suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or psychosis.
This county-contracted program is a 12-bed crisis stabilization unit centrally located in Hillcrest, CA. Our skilled, passionate, and trauma-informed team serves youth and families in crisis while working to stabilize the crisis and discharge them to the lowest level of care possible. Children and youth can stay up to 24-48 hours pending stabilization or a bed in a psychiatric hospital. The overall goal of the ESU is to effectively stabilize children and youth so they may return to their home or previous placement and avoid hospitalization.

Requirements:
- A current California BBS license as an RN, LCSW, MFT, LPCC, or a Licensed psychologist.
- Licensed eligible clinicians will be considered ONLY if they have 3 years working with a similar population have 18 months of clinical supervision hours toward licensure 2 years of leadership/management/supervision experience
- Experience and effectiveness in managing teams and individuals
- Experience engaging and collaborating with Stakeholders
- Experience providing crisis stabilization services
- Experience with human resources and recruiting staff
- Demonstrated clinical expertise with children, youth, and families
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience and understanding of San Diego's Children's System of Care
- Experience collaboration with BHS, PERT, EDs and MCRT
- Experience and knowledge of county contracted programs that serve children and youth
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Shall have direct program, operational, and supervisory responsibilities to ensure the success of the program
- Lead, manage, and collaborate effectively with all multidisciplinary team members
- Understand, embrace, and be a TIC champion in ALL aspects of their role
- Trains and provides supervision and leadership to ensure nurses, clinicians, and mental health workers understand and meet clinical service standards.
- Ensure that the administrative team efficiently and effectively completes administrative tasks
- Trained and provides supervision and leadership to ensure effective facilitation of clinical frameworks; an evidence-based curriculum is used
- Ensures all documentation procedures are followed based on the SOW and OPOH
- Ensures that all SOW requirements are met or exceeded within the identified period
- Attend all agency training and ensure all staff are current with required training
- Provide clinical leadership consultation and oversight
- Recruit and hire nursing, clinical, mental health, and administrative team members
- Ensure completion of all required county and state reports within identified timelines
- Participate and engage county staff and stakeholders in various meetings
- Other duties as assigned
