Florence Crittenton serves girls and young women ages 10-25, with a mission to provide every girl whose life we touch with safety, hope, and opportunity. In service to this mission, Florence Crittenton provides emergency shelter, residential housing, healthcare, education, counseling, and social support programs.
Job Summary:
The Director of Programs and Services at Florence Crittenton is a strategic leadership position responsible for providing direction and oversight to the assigned function(s) within the organization. This role requires successful collaboration with Managers and Directors to implement the agency's mission and vision by managing day-to-day operations within budget guidelines for agency programs and services. The Director will oversee and implement all treatment-oriented programs and services for the agency, conceptualize and develop programming, and ensure daily operations align with policies and goals. This role primarily demands an authoritative, directive leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Programs and Services, you will be responsible for the following functions:
Administrative Clinical Oversight: Oversee administrative and clinical aspects of program operations.
Residential Programs: Lead and manage residential programs within the organization.
Administrative Services Leadership: Provide leadership in administrative services.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field, plus 8-10 years of related experience in operating programs and services for a non-profit organization OR Master's degree in social work, human services, or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience in operating programs and services for a non-profit organization. Prior management experience is required.
Key Duties:
Provide strategic and operational leadership within the assigned function(s).
Collaborate as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and other Senior Management members.
Ensure effective functioning of the unit's infrastructure.
Build and nurture a talented staff, setting the standard for professional behavior and actions.
Demonstrate follow-through on commitments, effective communication of issues or challenges, willingness to accept feedback, and support for fellow team members.
Participate in Board activities and provide feedback as requested.
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work with and care for youth, with cultural sensitivity to diverse populations.
Knowledge of residential programs and services for non-profit organizations.
Strong program implementation skills.
Confidence, independent action, initiative, and the ability to make and take responsibility for decisions.
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing conditions, and propose practical solutions.
Self-disciplined with a strong demand for high-quality, organized, and repeatable results.
Strong leadership skills, including staff development and leading by example.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
High level of interpersonal skills, poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Problem-solving ability and adaptability to various situations.
Proficiency in Word Processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), E-mail, and Internet.
Preferred: Familiarity with client management software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Valid Arizona Driver's License with automobile insurance coverage and access to an automobile.
CPR and First-Aid certification
Non-violent crisis intervention trainer certification (a plus)
