Job Description

Position Summary:  

Assist the Sr. Scheduler with development and preparation of Project Schedules for large EPCM projects in the heavy industrial construction industry. Using Primavera P6 software, Candidates will develop, update, & maintain project schedules in accordance with M3's scheduling procedures. 

Basic Duties:

• Update schedules weekly, perform analysis, and prepare reports for stakeholders.

• Coordinate the various responsible parties throughout the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the project.

• Evaluate schedule progress and trends and provide improvement recommendations to project management and the project team.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings to determine proper project schedule activities, logic, and scope.

• Facilitate periodic scheduled meetings when required by the project.

• Work with the project controls team to verify cost and schedule information.

• Evaluate critical path and near-critical path sequencing.

• Assign resources (cost, labor, and material) to activities and develop cash flow reports and resource histograms.

• Identify schedule changes and trends.

• Review and comment on schedules prepared by contractors and alternate vendors.

• Develop and implement the work breakdown structure (WBS).

• Facilitate collaborative planning sessions with the project team and/or clients.

• Utilizes earned value concepts, calculations, and rules of credit.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Ability to quickly learn new scheduling software,e including Primavera P6, Primavera Cloud, and MS Project.

• Proficiency in various software, including MS Office and Excel.

• Must be able to work in person on a project team.

• Be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills.

• Candidate must be able to travel when needed, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.

• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment, sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.

• A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

• Pass background check.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency of various scheduling software including Primavera P6, Primavera Cloud, and MS Project

• 2 years of relative mining experience and or EPCM experience is recommended.

• Bilingual English / Spanish abilities, a plus, but not required.

• Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.

• Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or related field.
