The Bayside Inn Key Largo is currently hiring a Property Manager.
Responsible for the safeguarding of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors and employees, by ensuring a secure environment through sound security and safety methods and procedures. Take every opportunity to amaze the guests.
Development and implementation of the sales effort of the hotel, including securing new accounts and executing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Provides a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring that all hotel staff are consistently carrying out the proper safety and security methods and procedures.
- Direct the scheduling of conventions and business group activities at the hotel to maximize profitability.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies and trade organizations, and attend local and out of town meetings and conventions in order to generate sales for the hotel.
- Regularly work files for past and potential groups to generate repeat business for the hotel.
- Attend weekly departmental and hotel staff meeting to facilitate good communication within the hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Utilizes leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize associate productivity and satisfaction of direct reports

-Schedules and assigns staff in accordance with hotel occupancy
-Develops and maintains a working relationship with the local fire, police and government agencies
-Processes all written reports involving security related incidents and customer or employee accidents
-Serves as Safety and Security Officer to achieve compliance of the guides set forth by the American Hotel and Lodging Association for the hotel.
-Improves safety and security at the hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective actions
-Develops and maintains good key management procedures.
-Develops and administers hotel safety and accident prevention programs
-Keeps abreast of a all federal and state mandated programs and ensures compliance (i.e. OSHA)
-Inspects hotel regularly to observe potential security or safety related problems and takes necessary actions to alleviate them
-Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce hotel guest room sales in designated market segments, F & B sales and Catering/Banquet services.
-Assist in developing and managing the departmental budget and monitor sales activity to ensure that contracts and proposals go out in a timely matter.
