Job Description

Arizona Baptist Childrens Services & Family Ministries (ABCS) is a faith-based nonprofit that includes seven ministries with one mission: to provide hope and care to hurting children and families through Christ-centered ministries. We serve the full spectrum of Arizona families, from unborn babies to seniors. You can join the mission of this Christian social service agency by serving as a part-time center director for New Life Pregnancy Center at our Mesa location. The expected hours for this position are approximately 14 hours per week.

As a Pregnancy Center Director with ABCS:

  • You will oversee and take responsibility for the smooth operation of the Pregnancy Center.
  • You will handle the day to day responsibilities, supervision and reporting required as well as train new volunteers for the Pregnancy Center.
  • You will establish rapport with clients, facilitate pregnancy tests with clients, and maintain necessary documentation for each client and for the Pregnancy Center.
  • You will counsel clients on Christ-centered options based on pregnancy test results and refer clients to other agencies as needed to address their needs.
  • You will develop relationships with church and community support groups to provide material assistance (baby items, maternity clothes, etc.).
  • You will participate in agency required trainings and support our commitment to quality improvement.
  • You will pursue and maintain current knowledge of pregnancy, adoption, and related issues as well as understand and comply with the confidentiality agreement.

Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of a high school diploma. We prioritize calling and an ability to grow.
  • You can effectively and consistently communicate via technology and in person.
  • You have excellent interpersonal abilities to build relationships with coworkers, staff and clients.
  • You are able to plan and organize effectively as part of working on a team toward common goals.
  • Bilingual individuals are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • You are a Christian and in agreement with the ABCS Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Core Values and Guiding Principles.
  • You are at least 21 years old.
  • You have experience in a mental health or counseling setting, with specialized experience in family service delivery or Crisis Pregnancy training.
  • You currently have a valid AZ drivers license and a reliable personal vehicle .
  • You are eligible to obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card and have a clear criminal history per ABCS contracts with the State of Arizona. ABCS will pay the cost of fingerprinting for the applicant selected.
  • You are able to pass a TB and urine drug test.
