Quality Assurance Specialist


The Quality Assurance Specialist is a generalist role that works independently on behalf of the Quality Assurance team to create positive business impact. The person must make decisions independently within the scope of work to cover a number of various functions within Quality Assurance including but limited to procurement, organization, creation of QA data, label audits and reviews quality data according to existing documents and procedures, ensuring company and client standards are maintained. This role also is customer facing to help identify and correct technical issues in quality assurance product specifications.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
o Create weekly procurement requirements for 120+ items weekly. Plans most efficient method to purchase, transport and organize the products for weekly analysis. Analyzes best products to purchase and/or acceptable substitutions. Communicates real time as necessary to minimize down time.
o Prepare test environments by setting-up the necessary application settings and test data creation and subsequent clean up.
o Perform appropriate food preparation techniques to ensure products are completed according to customer requirements safely and with high quality.
o Perform functional, usability, integration and regression testing, documenting, communicating code, data or workflow issues and defects
o Conduct regular quality control data tests, researching, identifying, and resolving any data issues identified with product specifications

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

2-4 Years of experience in laboratory

Organizational excellence within a corporate environment
Preferably in CPG industry

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Excellent Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, & web browsers
Good Interpersonal Skills
Strong Priortizing Skills
Ability to Work Independently & Prioritize with minimal supervision, in order to Meet Deadlines
Ability to Gather Data, Compile Information, & Prepare Reports
