Quality Director

Quality Director (Car Sound Exhaust System, Inc. d/b/a MagnaFlow, Oceanside, CA): Oversee quality assurance & qlty control prgms across multiple mfg sites in the US & Mexico. Ensure compliance w/ ISO 9001 stds & drive continuous imprvmt initiatives. Optimize & standardize calibration, operation & qlty assurance processes for electronic sensors & monitoring systms in catalytic converters production. Assess & validate that all qlty control testing eqpmt meets industry accuracy & compliance stds. Communicate in Spanish w/ co. teams in Mexico. Reqts: Bach's or foreign equiv deg in Mfg Engg, Electrical or Electronic Engg, Quality Mgmt, or closely rltd field; + 5 yrs of progressive exp in position offd or rltd occupation in a Sr qlty mgmt role w/in a mfg envrmt. Must have 5 yrs of exp in: conducting internal audit working w/ ISO 9001 &/or IATF 16949 stds & qlty mgmt systms; analyzing waste elimination using qlty imprvmt methodologies incl Six Sigma, Lean & Kaizen; working w/ int'l qlty stds & regs IATF 16949, ensuring compliance w/ OEM automotive mkt reqmts for qlty, engg, 6S & product stds; & using ERP & qlty mgmt s/ware to track grid cases & disposition solutions in the ERP qlty module. Must travel to mfg sites in California (1 time per month for 1 day), Utah (1 time every quarter for 2 days) & Tijuana, Mexico (1-2 days/wk). Must have: ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer Certification; IATF 16949 Certification; & Black Belt Certification.
