Job Description

Please note that this is a 12-18 months contract position. This is a hands-on position developing and validating IVD products. In this position, the candidate will help bring new molecular diagnostic tests to market. Responsibilities The primary role will be to perform wet lab bench experiments, both independently and as directed by Senior Scientists, primarily focusing on development and validation of QPCRQRT-PCR and nucleic acid extraction methods, including processing potentially-infectious clinical specimens Collect, analyze, and document primary data from experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and plan next steps to meet objectives outlined by the project team Effectively communicate scientific results in both written format and orally at group meetings, including with colleagues at remote sites Assist senior scientists with lab maintenance, supply, and organizational tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards Efficiently manage workload to quickly and accurately execute experiments and meet aggressive deadlines Meticulously document experiments and verificationvalidation (VV) studies in the Electronic Laboratory Notebook Ensure all aspects of VV studies are conducted according to internal and external quality and regulatory requirements Qualifications BS or MS in Molecular Biology or related life science field At least 3-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience with QPCRQRT-PCR, nucleic acid extraction from clinical specimens, and related molecular diagnostic techniques Experience supporting regulated products and adhering to strict quality and regulatory requirements prior experience working in a CLIACAP environment is a plus Experience operating in a high-throughput, high-complexity lab, with both manual and automated sample processing equipment, under high deadline pressure Experience with method development of molecular diagnostic procedures is a plus Demonstrated technical writing and oral communication skills Demonstrated proficiency with standard scientific analysis software and tools Applicants must provide their phone number.
