Regional Grant Writer
LOCATION: Divisional Headquarters, Phoenix

The Salvation Army in Phoenix, AZ is looking to fill a Grant Writer position. The successful candidate for this position will be a self-starter with team oriented staff, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools & software, with preferred experience in developing and cultivating major gifts. The Regional Grant Writer identifies, develops, and implements a strategic action plan for the ongoing acquisition and cultivation of financial support from corporate, foundation, government and individual donors for the programs and services offered by The Salvation Army in Central & Southern Arizona. Responsibilities include creation and management of a robust grants calendar and maintaining proper and timely funding reports; working with Central & Southern Arizona Corps Officers and Advisory Boards as needed on funding events, volunteer coordination and other general fundraising needs.
- Four-year college degree in business administration, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Self-starter with team oriented staff
- Must have a valid Driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
- Experience in developing and cultivating major gifts preferred
- Must be proficient in use of the following office tools & software:
PC, MS Office Suite (including, Word, Excel, PP, etc.), Fax Machine, Telephone (wire/wireless), Calculator, CD Drive, Copier, Printer
