Restaurant General Manager 

Salary: $85,000 per Year

Permanent position, Full Time, M-F, 40 hours per week.

Location: Charleston, SC


Job description:    

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and improve the restaurant's operational efficiency.

• Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, food and beverage services, and compliance with legal and safety regulations.

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to ensure profitability while maintaining cost controls.

• Lead all personnel-related activities, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, scheduling, and conducting performance reviews for restaurant staff.

• Manage staff schedules and payroll administration, ensuring adequate coverage while respecting time-off requests and adhering to budget constraints.

• Establish and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and operational standards.

• Oversee the administration of food and alcohol purchasing, storage, and serving practices, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and maintaining quality standards.

• Implement technology solutions to streamline restaurant operations, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance customer experience.

• Prepare and present detailed reports and performance analyses to stakeholders, outlining operational success and strategic recommendations for improvement.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related or foreign equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in the job offered.
