Salon Assistant Manager - Roosters Men's Grooming Center

Roosters Men's Grooming Center provides an authentic barbershop experience in a modern, upscale, and unpretentious environment. We are seeking an experienced stylist or assistant manager with a passion for style and strong leadership and

coaching skills to join our growing team at our Salon.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

* Provide full salon services, including hair cutting, shampooing, blow drying, coloring, and styling.

* Maintain cleanliness of salon and your station.

* Keep on top of current hair cutting and styling trends to be able to recommend and suggest proper styles and trends.

* Ensure the salon team provides exceptional guest service.

* Promote the salon within the community and grow the business.

* Manage and control expenses through effective control of salon payroll and salon operating costs.

* Audit salon to ensure employees charge correctly for services and products.

* Complete required administrative tasks/compliance, including: Enforce and promote all corporate policies, procedures, and work rules; ensure closing procedures are adhered to and daily bank deposits are made; ensure the assets of the salon are protected; ensure the salon complies with all applicable state and local sanitation rules; ensure all staff licenses are current, valid and posted as required; ensure salon is open for all posted hours covering any employees shifts, if necessary.

* Assist the Salon Manager with other managerial tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Current Cosmetologist or Barber License Required, to include a manager license as required by local (or state/provincial) cosmetology regulations.

* Ability to work a minimum of 35 hours per week on a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Occasional overtime and overnight travel may be required.

* A team player with strong leadership qualities.

Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace while demonstrating good judgment and time management skills.

* Communicate effectively with salon team, peers, supervisors, and guests.

* Ability to read and analyze various salon reports.

* Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Occasional lifting 10-25 lbs.

Perform hair services and other job-related functions.

Continuous repetitive movement with fingers hands, wrists, and arms, including but not necessarily limited to using scissors to cut hair, rolling hair in rods to perform perm services, vigorous movement to massage/shampoo guests hair, twisting wrists to blow dry and style hair with various tools.

Continuous exposure to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services.
