For our Client in Cook County, we are seeking School Psychologists who want to make a profound difference in the lives of students by empowering them to succeed and achieve their dreams.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide care to developmentally disabled students to promote emotional and social growth.
* Listen to concerns regarding academic, emotional or social problems.
* Study and implement behavioral management techniques.
* Help students process their challenges, plan goals and promote positive behaviors.
* Meet with parents and teachers to discuss learning, behavioral, familial and social challenges.
* Provide counsel to parents on topics such as communication and substance abuse.
* Research and implement learning programs.
* Evaluate and advise school disciplinary practices for troubled students.
* Participate in special education by administering psychological tests.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONA
* Minimum of a Master's Degree
* PEL license
* Must possess thorough knowledge of psychological assessment procedures and results interpretation
* Demonstrated ability to communicate with students, families, and school personnel.
* Excellent time management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
