Description:

This position ensures prompt and polite service to members and their guests.  Additional responsibilities include:  preparing comfort food service stations; opening, cleaning, restocking, and organizing comfort food stations; transporting on-course orders to members and guests during their round discreetly.  The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service approach and accustomed to working in a highly collaborative and communicative team environment.  Knowledge of golf is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains stock of food and beverage items as well as service items for comfort station
  • Serves food and beverages to members and guests
  • Creates a surgically clean environment for food and beverage consumption
  •  Attends to members and guests for on-course food and beverage ordering.
  • Collaborates and assists the kitchen with preparing in-house food items to be consumed at comfort stations using proper food handling techniques. Creates orders and requisitions for essential supplies
  • Maintains a clean and organized cart for use in transporting food and beverage service items from clubhouse to comfort stations
  • Ensures proper handling of all equipment including golf cart, refrigeration, coffee machines, and other appliances
  • Maintains cleanliness throughout the day
  • Maintains cleanliness of guest areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper area
  • Completes closing duties, including restocking items, charging golf cart, and securing all supplies
  • Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; completes safety training and certifications
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Strong passion, commitment to excellence and true service heart to carry out daily tasks
  • Strong desire to provide excellent guest service experience
  • Prior serving experience in a hotel, resort or club environment
  • Ability to be highly punctual and work schedule hours based on business needs
  • Neat and polished appearance and ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Strong relationship, communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with co-workers and broader teams in a professional manner
  • Strong desire to cultivate positive working relationships, supports team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of others
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats
  • Proficient with Jonas system

Working Conditions:

  • This position provides serving support to several outlets:  Golf Operations, Dining Room, Cantina.  
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for entire work shift
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects 35 pounds or less; 50 pounds or less with assistance
  • Have fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Clean driving record

Working Conditions:

  • This position will be exposed to various working conditions, predominantly outside
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift reach, bend and kneel frequently and for long periods of time
