Senior Actuarial Analyst - Care Management

This position will support the Care Management Performance Management team. The core responsibility of this role will be to support the data and analysis underlying the operational and financial performance evaluation across Aetnas Commercial Care Management programs in order to optimize the programs performance, identify new opportunities and accurately explain the value and impact to the organization and our members.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead data support and analysis underlying the overall performance of Commercial CM programs, providing holistic, end to end views, analysis and insights across operational, clinical, and financial measures
- Support the development and/or collaboration with key business partners on dashboards and additional analytical tools to provide early insights into potential outcomes and savings, identify opportunities, and to better enable informed operational decision making
- Perform ad hoc analysis and deep dives to identify/resolve pain points and identify areas of opportunity
- Analytical subject matter expert for the team, driving knowledge sharing and collaboration across the team on analytical tools and programming, and identifying opportunities to create efficiencies on performance management processes
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 43,700
Maximum: 97,400
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years analytical and/or actuarial work experience in the health care industry
- 2 or more actuarial exams passed
Preferred Qualifications
- ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical, analytical, financial, and data manipulation and visualization skills
- Programming experience (R, Python, SQL, SAS)
- Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment
- Ability to think strategically and creatively solve problems that are not well defined
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
2 or more actuarial exams passed
