- Data Management: Compiles, organizes, and maintains accurate records, reports, and files.
- Document Preparation: Prepares and distributes various forms, reports, and correspondence.
- Office Administration: Handles incoming and outgoing calls, maintains databases, and schedules appointments.
- Budget Management: Monitors and controls budget expenditures.
- Compliance: Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Support Services: Provides administrative support to staff and students as needed
- Manage administrative tasks for the district, including attendance records, travel documentation, entering purchase requisitions in the district's ERP system, and mail/message routing.
- Serve as a liaison between district administrators, school personnel, and the public.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and conferences.
- Interpret and apply district policies and regulations.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

DEFINITION: To provide comprehensive administrative support to a department or director within the Sunnyside Unified School District, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with district policies and regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

TASKS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Strong knowledge of District policies and procedures
Proven experience in office management and daily operations
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
Skilled in computer operations and applications
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work environment is indoors. The job involves frequent sitting, standing, bending, and repetitive movements. Employees must have good vision for monitoring tasks and be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent, and three (3) years secretarial experience. Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District.
Depending on the needs of the District, some incumbents in this class must be able to demonstrate fluency in both Spanish and English as a condition of employment.
Salary Grade: J Hourly Pay: $19.95 Hours per Day: 8 Days in Contract: 260
