Covington & Burling LLP seeks a Senior Associate in San Francisco, CA (part-time telecommuting permitted) to liaise directly w/ clients - senior level attys & execs @ life sciences companies - incl taking lead on responding to substantive questions & requests, providing compliance advice & responses to questions, & providing updates on projects. Job reqs JD or LLM, active state bar membership in good standing of at least 1 US jurisdiction & 3 yrs of atty exp in a law firm researching questions of US food, drug, & device regulatory law & policy issues, incl labeling & promotion issues, informed consent regulations, & FDA approval pathways/programs, & drafting memoranda, presentations, & email responses regarding same. Part-time telecommuting permitted. 10% of time will be spent traveling for important client meetings, client devel activities, & in-person meetings w/ regulatory authorities. Salary $420,000 /yr.
