THE OPPORTUNITY:

Were growing and adding a role to our Enterprise Compliance and Risk Management (ECRM) Team. The Sr. Compliance Analyst will have an overarching focus on Financial Crimes Compliance. They will also provide compliance guidance and oversight of our consumer lending business units, with a focus on unsecured personal loans and mortgage. This position will work across our current consumer lending product offerings and their support functions. Our ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience and application of consumer protection laws and regulations in the following:

BSA/AML, OFAC, TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA, TCPA, FDCPA, SCRA, EFTA, TSR

The successful candidate will also have strong communication skills, an ability to thrive on learning new things and strong collaboration skills

THE ROLE:

  • Help evolve ECRMs current financial crimes compliance framework(s) and controls
  • Assist with preparation and execution of financial crimes risk assessments and present to management
  • Document and update financial crimes policy and present to management
  • Assess and advise on the mitigation of compliance risks
  • Provide guidance to business partners on compliance issues
  • Assist with audit requests; involving data gathering, gap identification, and issue tracking and response
  • Stay current on compliance industry trends, and help devise roadmap to meet any relevant updated compliance regulation
  • Provide compliance input for business procedures, new projects and tools being implemented
  • Develop strong, productive working relationships with internal customers.
  • Review and respond to compliance related findings issued by internal and external parties
  • Assist with ad hoc projects

REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:

  • 6-8 years substantive experience with a licensed financial institution or a regulatory compliance examiner
  • Documented recent compliance history supporting financial crimes and mortgage compliance
  • Experience leveraging technology to support BSA, AML, and OFAC related processes
  • Knowledgeable in consumer protection, with strong proficiency in mortgage related requirements
  • Preferred Skills: Knowledge of the mortgage compliance regulatory requirements including TRID, RESPA, SCRA, FACTA, GLBA, FDCPA, FlOOD, HMDA, TSR, TCPA, SAFE ACT, UDAAP, FAIR LENDING, E-SIGN, USAP, etc.
  • Preferred: CAMS certification
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn about the activities and specificity of our unique business model and technology
  • Self-starter, willing to take ownership and drive initiatives to resolution while reporting appropriately on progress made and escalating when difficulties are encountered.
  • Familiarity with GRC applications, Microsoft Office, and other software
  • Ability to prioritize and be agile in a fast-moving, complex environment
