Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for its Seattle, Washington office.
Job Duties: Responsible for discovering strategic opportunities in areas spanning the search and discovery process, membership and re-engagement, evaluation, and curation of potential homes, and personalization for both the company brand. Discover deep data insights about the customer funnel through experiments and advanced analytics and use this data to influence business strategy and build product roadmaps. Design and implement A/B Tests, read test results, and provide recommendations to the product roadmap. Apply advanced data analytics including clustering, propensity modeling, and other explanatory and causal inference techniques to gain a clearer picture of customer behavior. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to discuss problems, design analytics framework, pull in the most relevant data for the business, and develop solutions. Identify areas of opportunity in the PA business, operational processes, and product suite, influencing business partners to set realistic goals and focus on data driven solutions. Telecommuting is permitted.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
Experience Requirements: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in each of the following:
" Designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B experiments
" Object-oriented programming for scripting and data processing
" Building compelling data stories and visualizations to influence decision makers
" Evaluating large data sets to generate actionable business insights and solutions
" Solid understanding of SQL and Python, along with some experience with visualization software like Tableau or libraries in Python/R
