Currently, the US Biogen Biosimilar team is looking for a Senior Director of Franchise Strategy, US BBU to lead a team responsible for the development of an integrated U.S. biosimilar strategy across biosimilar brands in the US market. This individual / team will partner with a wide range of teams across Biogen, including Brand Marketing, Market Access & Reimbursement, Patient Services, Government Affairs, global commercial & medical and select teams to ensure all Biosimilar product strategies have a cohesive approach with the goal of improving patient outcomes, access to care, healthcare cost savings and portfolio revenue goals. The candidate will be responsible for creating end to end business plans & deliverables in partnership with others that achieve the overall biosimilar franchise opportunity in the US market. In addition, the candidate will support end to end patient strategies design & coordination in partnership with the patient services team of Biogen to ensure patients start and stay on biosimilar product(s) / portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

Understand and gain deep customer insights for all critical stakeholders responsible for creating access with key accounts across all channels

Garner and translate customer insights (HCP & Patient) journey flow, pain point and areas of compliant intervention that can improve customer experience and brand start & stay strategies; work with relevant Biogen patient service leaders to implement programs that serve high engagement areas

Lead cross-functional Launch Operating Team to coordinate and ensure a cohesive launch readiness and execution across all Biogen teams

Partner to develop clear and prioritized end to end business plans including strategic priorities and KPI dashboards across all key customer segments, including large group practices, payers, GPOs, and other critical stakeholders. Work closely with brand marketing, sales leadership, and MA&R US leaders to align the organization on product goals and KPIs

Lead franchise strategy marketing team with internal partnerships & execution of insight driven plans to include the development of comprehensive and stakeholder specific value proposition(s) to position the Biogen Biosimilar brands for success with respective channels

Closely partner with US Market Access & Reimbursement leadership to ensure coordinated strategies at the payer level (through Market Access account teams) and field reimbursement level (through BBU field teams)

Understand and partner with US Government Affairs and advocacy teams to connect stakeholders, policies and association strategies that align to portfolio access opportunities. Influences internal/ external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business

Effectively lead direct reports through complexities of day to day responsibilities as well as create a fulfilling team culture while promoting professional development

Serve on leadership team of the US Biosimilars Business Unit to provide input into broader franchise strategies, contribute to future of organization and impacts business direction through the development of innovative services or products

Ensure high engagement with key SCG partners; select field based and those who can support in delivering to overall brand / portfolio success

Qualifications

Candidates will possess:

15+ years of leadership experience in related positions with proven performance in analytically driven positions with a focus on developing winning strategies for product access and launch

Prior experience leading and engaging strategy with large team influence that creates alignment

Proven ability to drive organizational change while setting vision and goals that achieve positive financial outcomes

Progressively responsible leadership positions within operations, strategic business planning, and/or customer services efficiencies

Proven ability to operate within a complex matrix environment and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills

Demonstrated understanding of healthcare stakeholders, how product access is created at the customer and understands the current and future needs of population based discussions with payers & large group customers

Demonstrated understanding of buy & bill dynamics (particularly in the Medicare space), formulary management and the growing areas of specialty management inclusive of biosimilars

Strategic thinker with executive leadership and influencing skills

Prior experience interfacing with the internal executive staff and field based leaders managing customers

Ability to create and manage to a strategic vision and lead process improvement within the organization

P&L management knowledge preferred, prior experiences in finance discipline a plus

Education:

Bachelors degree in business, finance or health policy or related equivalent experience in healthcare required, MBA or comparable masters preferred.
