Max Pay – Depends on experience:

Job Description:

Posting Range: $57,900 - $80,000 per year; DOE

As part of the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, the College of Global Futures houses academic units and programs that advance discovery, solutions, networks, partnerships and learning to build futures where all life can thrive on a healthy planet. We work across disciplinary boundaries and with ASU faculty, students, and staff and external partners from around the world, such as conservation organizations, corporations, and government agencies to provide decision support to address complex and urgent challenges.

 

In 2025, the College of Global Futures will be growing our educational offerings with a proposed new school.

 

The Sr. Program Manager will support the school and college leadership team in advancing our overall mission and this new school through planning, implementing, coordinating the programs and partnerships that will launch as part of the school. This position offers opportunities to build unconventional, flexible, new teaching and learning programs and processes. Activities will span several global hubs.

 

Essential Duties:

Responsibilities of this position will be defined but not limited to the essential categories of program management, partnership coordination, supervisory, administrative.

 

Program Management:

  • Work with team and leadership to track progress toward milestones and metrics of success, including in building new academic programs for degree-granting programs, and professional and executive education  
  • Support external partner and donor communications 
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes
  • Facilitate communication among teams via email, presentations, meetings, and reports
  • Liaise with internal ASU and external partners
  • Prepare, compose annual report

·        Partnership Coordination:

  • Facilitates the development and maintenance of high impact partnerships with external groups
  • Provides collaborative function to support logistics, activities, and communication 
  • Maintain accounts in Salesforce

Supervisory:

·        Supervise staff and student workers, as needed

·        Assist leadership with hiring


Desired Qualifications:

·        Master’s degree in related field and/or extensive experience managing client relationships in addition to command of second language/working knowledge of a foreign culture

·        Strong written and verbal skills, especially to communicate effectively with internal and external partners

·        Experience in building new programs

·        Demonstrated experience developing robust written deliverables for programs and/ or funded projects

·        Project management certification such as CAPM or PMP

·        Experience managing staff

·        Flexible, team-oriented, impact-driven approach to project management

·        Experience in higher education environment

·        Experience working with philanthropic partners, foundations

·        Experience working with conservation organizations, local and/or indigenous communities

·        Experience in managing partnerships

·        Experience in project management software

·        Experience with global partnerships

·        Alternative work schedules can include four, 10-hour workdays in a workweek; a nine-day, 80-hour schedule over two workweeks for exempt employees only; and staggered start and stop times.

·        Hybrid work is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location. Dean or vice president-level approval is required.

·        Remote work is an arrangement where the employee spends less than 60% of their regular workweek at a regularly assigned ASU work location. Executive vice president-level approval is required.

·        Standard Working Environment:

·        Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position. 

·        Constantly detects and operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.  

·        Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties. 

·        Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
