Job Description

The Senior Real Estate Specialist provides support to the Development, Real Estate Asset Management and Legal teams or other related parties by gathering, maintaining, and organizing information, and document preparation. This position also tracks and monitors certain lease requirements for new real estate deals.

This is a hybrid role based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center. Candidates should be local to the Tampa Bay area and willing to work in the office regularly.


* Assists in developing and maintaining best practices for preparing and handling certain lease documents for new restaurant deals in a timely and accurate manner

* Reviews all leases for approval and execution to ensure they are in accordance with BBI standards and identifies any exceptions and communicates as applicable

* Maintains an efficient system for tracking lease documents

* Owns critical date management, reporting, and discrepancy resolution

* Manages Tenant Improvement Allowance recovery process

* Handles certificates of insurance for new leases for Tenant and from Landlord

* Prepares, distributes, follows up and tracks real estate documents such as Exception Memos, Lease Memos, Term Commencement Agreements, Subordination Non-Disturbance and Attornments (SNDA) and more

* Responsible for applicable updates to Expesite and Lucernex databases

* Collaborates with the Lucernex Administrator to ensure alignment on critical dates and lease elements

* Works as a part of the collaborative Real Estate, Property Management and Legal teams

* Reviews and interprets lease, property, and other legal documents

* Identifies and reports discrepancies in Lucernex as appropriate

* Communicates and corresponds with Landlords regarding questions/concerns and handles dispute resolutions

* Performs other duties as assigned



* High School Diploma required. Associates or other advanced degree, preferred


* 5+ years of experience working in an organization with a large retail real estate portfolio and lease administration background

* 5+ years of experience in abstracting leases, tracking critical dates

* Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook, required

* Ability to independently examine/interpret Real Estate contracts and leases

* Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up

* Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

* Self- starter with ability to adapt and interact professionally with all levels of management.

* Experience providing highly responsive customer service

* Experience with Expesite and Lucernex software, a plus

* Strong ability to self- manage
