Senior Software Development Engineer

Zillow, Inc is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for its Seattle, WA office.

Job Duties: Utilize backend and machine learning teams to leverage customer data to personalize these features, and with frontend teams to ensure that these features are seamlessly integrated across the website and mobile apps. Incorporate metrics into software features to aid in operational monitoring, user analytics, Al model development, and more. Mentor junior software developers on the team, coaching the best design and coding practices and raising the speed and quality bar for shipped code. Apply deep understanding of software design patterns, development practices, and data structures. Lead technical projects to drive key results and team objectives. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirement: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Three years of experience in: Java, Python or similar object-oriented language; High-quality Web applications and Restful APIs in a production environment; and Software design patterns, development practices, and data structures. 

Alternative requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in: Java, Python or similar object-oriented language; High-quality Web applications and Restful APIs in a production environment; and Software design patterns, development practices, and data structures.
