Job title: Senior Software Engineer
Job location: Remote (can be based anywhere in the United States)
Annual salary range: $195,000 - $263,000
Responsibilities:
· Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to enable Vanta’s business and team to scale.
· Collaborate with Security to ensure Vanta's platform implements best practices for customer data.
· Support design reviews, communicate constraints, and help engineers make the right trade-offs.
· Act as a cultural beacon, setting an example for effective, collaborative engineering and helping mentor junior team members.
· Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
· Drive initiatives to increase operational posture and execution quality across the engineering organization.
Job Requirements:
A bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, or in a similar role. Prior experience must include:
· 2 years of experience in backend development.
· 2 years of experience building platform services that scale across multiple teams.
· 2 years of experience in data modeling for systems with complex relationships.
· 2 years of experience solving distributed systems challenges around performance and security.
· 2 years of experience performing complex technical migrations that maintain system stability.
· 2 years of experience working with enterprise security practices.
· 2 years of experience leading technical projects.
· 2 years of experience implementing or maintaining identity and access management systems using software industry standards.
