Pay Range

Pay Ranges for Ski Season Opportunities Include:

  • Critical Care Techs/CCTs/EMTs:

    $14. 47 - $20.56/hr

  • Patient Care Techs
  • Patient Service Reps $16.27 - $20.97/hr
  • Radiology Techs: $23.22 - $32.99/hr
  • Registered Nurses/RNs: $29.72 - $41.83/hr

  • Surgical Techs: $23.00 - $31.72

What You Bring/Job Requirements

Critical Care Techs/EMTs
performs direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with RN or Physician. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. Orders, receives and stocks supplies for the department/unit. Assists support staff with filing, medical records and daily tasks as assigned.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified
Critical Care Techs/EMTs
perform candidates will need the following:

  • One year healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED and/or patient care) preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current Colorado Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or A-EMT or EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for HealthCare Providers certification required from American Heart Association required
  • IV certification required upon hire

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Patient Service Rep p
rovide clerical/office support within a physician clinic, including, but not limited to reception, telephone, medical records, charge entry, referrals, and retrieval of medical information from internal and external systems and sources. Also provide support by facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship- based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Patient Service Rep
candidates will need the following:

  • Previous work history that demonstrates basic office and computer skills, filing, telephone answering, reception, basic knowledge of computer software i.e. Microsoft Word, E-mail, Excel , etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers, preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements - Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally

Radiology Techs
provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to students, staff technologist and other hospital personnel. Assures current standards of practice for the unit.

Radiology Tech
candidates will need the following:

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as required
  • Previous Radiologic Technologist experience preferred
  • One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree strongly preferred
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology-R.T. (R) (ARRT) required
  • ARRT-BD-Bone Density certification Preferred within 6 months of hire, if applicable to entity (Avista Adventist Hospital)
  • Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required

RNs
assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

RNs
candidates will need the following:

  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
    • Colorado Only:
      RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact.   • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • One year experience preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Surgical Techs
work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.

Surgical Tech
candidates will need the following:

  • One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred
  • Experience in a specialty field preferred
  • Basic Computer skills required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program preferred
  • Current registration as a Surgical Tech is required unless performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another verified Colorado license, certification or registration required
