Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer for its Seattle, Washington office.
Job Duties: Implement software components and services at scale. Craft outstanding user experiences, and working and driving features across multiple teams. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers and data scientists to scope, design, and build the next generation of Zillow's messaging platform. Drive E2E software system design/architecture - proposing tradeoffs between cost, performance (SLAs, scalability), maintenance, etc. with short & long-term outlooks. Own software backend services and data pipelines that power email and push messaging including monitoring and on-call processes. Find opportunities & solutions to improve software engineering and operational excellence. Telecommuting permitted.
