Sr. Sous Chefs
Sea Island Company, LLC in Sea Island GA, seeks Sr. Sous Chefs to: Be accountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring Sea Island's food standards are met. Address guest concerns in a timely and efficient manner and implement and uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality and timing. Reqs.: Assoc. degree in Hospitality Mgmt., Hotel Mgmt., Culinary Arts, Tourism, or a rel. field and 4 yrs. of culinary exp. in either a hotel, resort, or quality restaurant req., incl. exp. in a 4- or 5-Star property and proficiency in Windows XP and Microsoft Office s/w apps. (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook). The ability to follow standardized recipes, use sharp knives safely and proficiently, and perf. repetitive tasks with accuracy. The ability to operate gas fired and electric ranges and ovens, steam kettles, broilers, tilting pans, deep fryers, slow roasters, grills, grinders and choppers, slicers, scales, mixers, and potato peelers safely and proficiently. The ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull, and walk for prolonged periods. The ability to work for extended time periods in extreme envir., incl. outdoors, sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels. The ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift. Valid Georgia driver's license req. Must be 21 yrs. of age or older to drive comp. vehicle and pass yearly Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review. In lieu of an Assoc. degree in the above-listed fields and four years of experience, Sea Island will accept a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Mgmt., Hotel Mgmt., Tourism, or a rel. field plus 2 yrs. of the above-listed exp. or a Culinary Arts Cert. and 5 yrs. of the above-listed exp.
