Forest Highlands Golf Club, in Flagstaff, Arizona is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity for a Staff Accountant. The Primary function of this position is to assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in performing various finance/accounting functions. This position will be responsible for the preparation and recording of routing accounting transactions including the daily reconciliation of accounts, processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis and assist with Information Technology related matters.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

· Accounting and Finance:

o Reconciles on a monthly basis in conjunction with system reports and daily departmental receipts.

o Reconciles company credit cards including obtaining receipts, verifying and entering charges and ensuring timely payment of the balance.

o Responsible for the calculation and filing of monthly sales, liquor and use tax.

o Codes and approves invoices for the administrative office.

o Process ACH (automatic clearinghouse payments) for both Utility subsidiaries and Association as needed.

o Releases electronic payments to vendors.

o Monthly Utility subsidiaries journal entries and reporting.

o Prepares and remits monthly sales tax reports for Utility subsidiaries.

o Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

o Reconciles monthly intercompany entries and reporting.

o Performs bank deposits and assists with cash reconciliation processes.

o Prepares and submits monthly Sales Tax reports and the Corporation Commission Annual Report for the Water and Wastewater Companies.

o Reconciles monthly bank statements as required to ensure separation of duties.

o Monthly management of fixed assets (additions, disposals in software system; reconciling with general ledger)

o Assists CFO in updating the RDA study annually and ensures that all replacement costs and useful lives are updated accordingly.

o Maintains Fixed Asset ledgers on an annual basis and prepares depreciation schedules for the Association and Utility companies annually

o Works with the club's external auditor to assure that procedures are consistent with club policies.

o Performs monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to verify accuracy of reporting and general ledger maintenance.

o Continually analyzes and audits financial information for discrepancies or issues that may require the involvement of the CFO.

o Maintains an orderly accounting filing system.

o Reconciliation of subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger

o Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

o Works cross functionally with other departments to supply them with timely information, answer questions and provide accounting process recommendations and solutions.

o All other duties as assigned by the CFO to maintain the standard of excellence to which the Forest Highlands Association aspires.

· Information Technology

o Interacts with auditors, banking personnel, software and hardware vendors, government agencies, and suppliers externally.

o Interacts with all levels of management and members.

o Responsible for Information Technology oversight including liaison with outside IT vendors and consultants, ordering hardware and software, and answering management and employee questions and concerns.

o Troubleshoots IT problems and contacts outsourced IT Support service when needed.

· Payroll

o Assist Director of Human Resources with processing of bi-weekly payroll, along with various employee benefit and compliance tasks as assigned.

o Assists in the resolution of payroll issues and account reconciliations.

Minimum Requirements:

o Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with concentration in business with accounting major or minor.

o 1-2 years of accounting experience.

o Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

o Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulatory laws and practices related to homeowner associations or hospitality preferred, but not required.

o Desire to enhance and grow career within the hospitality industry specifically private, member-owned clubs preferred, but not required.

o Strong account reconciliation skills.

o Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

o Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.

o Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

o Ability to work closely with senior management team

o Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Position is in an open office environment in a golf/country club in a private residential community.

· Must be able to work in a busy office environment with multiple co-workers in an open office space.

· Flexibility in schedule.

· Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly; up to 50lbs occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull.

· Must be able to frequently walk, sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop kneel, crouch, adjust vision accordingly (close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception)

· Exposed to outside weather conditions including low temperatures.

· Continuous ability to talk and hear in a loud office environment.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
